"When I was younger, I had one teacher named Mr. Navarro. He was my 3rd grade teacher who grew up in Richmond and spoke Spanish. It was the only teacher I knew that could just talk to any parent and student like it was their job to talk. Giving back to the community I grew up in is all I have ever known because it gave back to me in ways I didn't understand as a kid. I want to be part of the people who can give the youth access to opportunities they need to succeed."
