"My "why" behind the work I do is to provide the mentorship that I didn't have when I was in the students' position. When I was growing up, I was exposed to a lot of negativity and trauma. My friends, who at the time, were unofficial mentors, poured love into me and helped me see the hope that was available to me. My hope is to have a similar impact to the students, families and communities we serve."
