"Without question, this is an opportunity to build the community and inculcate college identity through IYT's programs and services to improve the quality of life for people of color. Having been a latchkey kid, assess to the apartment by the 5th grade, I struggled to value education because my basic survival needs were not being met: Tantamount to Maslow's hierarchy of needs. To use my gifts to ignite social transformation is truly gratifying. It is my hope to be a beacon of light for all."
