Month in Review: Energy & Results

February at Merced High School was defined by high energy and tangible results. We started the year with a celebration of the future (college acceptances) and a commitment to the present (effort tracking), proving that the work we do today directly shapes the opportunities we get tomorrow.

The Acceptance Letters Arrive!

The year kicked off with exciting wins for our IYT Brothers! Students began receiving their college acceptance letters, proudly celebrating the results of their hard work. Moments like these remind us that dedication pays off. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and can’t wait to see what comes next on their college journeys as they take these first steps toward a bright future.

Life Skills: The Effort Tracker (Musical Chairs Edition)

Students brought energy and reflection together during our Effort Tracker workshop! In this unique session, a simple game of musical chairs became a powerful learning moment. Students who didn’t get a seat had to share insights from their effort trackers, turning a fun, active game into an opportunity to reflect, connect with peers, and grow. The workshop blended learning, movement, and accountability all in one, leaving students energized and motivated to keep tracking their progress.
