December in Review: Celebration & Connection
This month at Mills Middle School was defined by a balance of joyful celebration and meaningful mentorship. As the year came to a close, our focus shifted to rewarding the hard work our Brothers put in throughout the semester and reinforcing the village that supports them. From the high energy of our Fun Zone trip to the inspiring dialogue at the Cordova Men of Color panel, our Brothers ended the year strengthening bonds with their peers and connecting with the leaders who champion their success.
End of Year Celebration: Jump, Run, Have Some Fun

Before the year came to a close, IYT treated brothers from 6th through 12th grade to an all-day Fun Zone experience as a well-deserved celebration of an incredible year. This activity created a safe, high-energy space for brothers to connect, build relationships, and stay active while having fun. Students all had a blast and ended the year the best way possible–full plates, big smiles, and sweat to show they gave it their all.
Speaker Panel: Mills Joins Cordova

Mills joined Cordova’s campus for an engaging Speaker Panel featuring men of color, where POC men shared stories about their educational journeys and experiences navigating school as men of color. The panel not only provided insight and inspiration but also helped put faces to the men on campus who stand in the brothers' corner and proudly believe in the mission of IYT. The experience was truly special–bringing together familiar faces, meaningful conversations, and a space where brothers could reconnect with friends and see firsthand the strong community supporting them.
