IYT sets the tone with “King of the Court” Year-End Bash

The courts were packed with energy as IYT Sacramento hosted an electrifying King of the Court basketball tournament during lunch, to close out the school year in style.

We transformed the Center High campus courts into a lively arena where students came together through basketball, brotherhood, and connection, blending sports with community engagement.

Hoops, Hits, and High Stakes

The excitement stayed high all afternoon as Center High School (CHS) alumni Jeff Scott took over as our live DJ. He kept the crowd engaged while students battled it out through a series of fast-paced one-on-one matchups on the court. The music, competition, and school spirit drew in students and staff alike, creating the perfect backdrop for IYT members to connect with peers and share the program’s college-bound mission.

The competition was fierce, but the ultimate “King” was rewarded for their dominance on the court, taking home a special lunch prize to celebrate their victory.

Closing the Chapter

This tournament was more that just a day of fun. By the end, it had become a celebration of brotherhood, leadership, and student connection as the school year came to a close. By bringing together basketball and community, IYT created an unforgettable experience that energized students and continued to shine a light on the impact of the program.
