IYT Mississippi Celebrates Their First College Tour

May marked an exciting milestone for our Reimagine Prep IYT Brothers as they attended their first college tour at Jackson State University. For many, it was their first time stepping onto a college campus, a moment filled with curiosity, pride, and possibility.

The Brothers were fully engaged from the start. They explored academic buildings, learned about campus life, and asked thoughtful questions about student support services, including “Tiger Bucks.” Each stop helped them imagine what their futures could look like beyond middle school and high school.

The visit quickly became a spark. Walking through the historic grounds of JSU, seeing the home of the Jackson State University Sonic Boom of the South, meeting student ambassadors, and hearing about opportunities reminded them that college is not just a dream but an achievable goal.

This first tour marks a powerful step in their journey.
