Bringing IYT Programming to your District

Wondering how to bring IYT Programming to your District?

This one’s for you! Learn all about how it works, what it looks like, how long it takes, and what to do next.

How long does it take to get IYT programming in my school district?

We have a general timeline for how IYT is brought to a school, but much of it is based on the district, and how/when they make their decisions. Generally we’ll frame the timeline around when they want to launch, in the Fall or Spring. As an example, check out the timeline below showing what an average Fall launch looks like:

  • Sep-Dec: Discovery meetings with the District/School

  • Jan-Mar: MOUs are signed

  • Apr-Jun: Initial meetings to discuss program implementation

  • Jul:

    • Hiring & training of IYT Program Managers

    • Program presentations to admin, teachers, and counselors

  • Aug-Sep:

    • IYT student recruitment

    • Family & student orientation

    • Individual family meetings

    • Principal meetings

    • Hiring & training of IYT Mentors

  • Oct: Official launch of IYT College Academy

I’m a teacher at a K-12 or continuation school where I want to bring IYT programming. What do I do next?

Are you a decision-maker at the school or district? I.e., are you someone who’s able to bring a program in based on your budget autonomy, or authority? If the answer is “yes” to either of those questions, great! Please click the button below, and our team will be in touch. If you answered “no,” we recommend first identifying who those people are in your school or district, and talking to them about IYT.

Additionally, if you’d like to connect us directly with those folks, we’d be happy to meet with them and discuss what IYT programming at your school or district could look like.
