IYT Bay Area’s Career Day with the Golden State Community Foundation is Expanding Horizons
At Improve Your Tomorrow (IYT), we’re working to create a world where young men of color are empowered with the support and resources to tap into their unlimited potential. Recently that goal came to life in a powerful way.
We had the privilege of taking our Brothers to the Golden State Community Foundation Career Day, hosted in partnership with Invisalign. Beyond a typical field trip, this was an immersive, transformative experience designed to help our young men see themselves in spaces, careers, and leadership roles that once may have felt out of reach.
A Day of Learning, Connections, and Inspiration
Throughout the event, our Brothers engaged in hands-on career workshops built to equip them with practical tools for their future. Beyond the skills learned, the day provided invaluable opportunities to step directly into professional environments:
Professional Headshots: Equipping our students with high-quality photos for their emerging academic and professional portfolios.
Exclusive Team Swag: Gracious gifts provided by the Golden State Warriors and Golden State Valkyries made the day unforgettable.
Networking with Purpose: Direct access to professionals and community leaders who are actively investing in the next generation.

An event of this scale and impact is only possible through dedicated leadership. We extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to Claudia Leist for welcoming IYT Bay Area into the fold. Her thoughtfulness, hospitality, and unwavering commitment to creating meaningful pathways for young people set the standard for what community engagement should look like.
Our students also had the incredible opportunity to connect with leaders using their platforms for good, including former NBA star Adonal Foyle, M.A., M.B.A. and global business strategist Ryan Patel. Meeting individuals who lead with purpose left a lasting impression on our Brothers, reinforcing the idea that their potential has no ceiling.
