Jr Mentors step up to make a difference

Jr. Mentor Spotlight: Community Service Project

This month, our Junior Mentors turned service into action by leading initiatives to create a more welcoming environment for their school community. They took on projects including campus cleanups, and engagements to spread positivity and school spirit. They set out on their campus and took action, cleaning shared spaces, refreshing outdoor areas, hosting teacher appreciation activities, and handing out stickers with motivational messages of positivity to their peers.

Jr. Mentors from Jesse Bethel also hosted a Friday Brotherhood Day, where students could compete in an interactive college trivia activity for the opportunity to win college flag banners.

By leading these initiatives, Jr. Mentors from multiple sites including Mesa Verde, San Juan, Merced, Golden Valley, Jesse Bethel, and Foothill demonstrated strong leadership, teamwork, and pride in their respective schools.

These experiences highlight the importance of responsibility, community, and giving back. Their commitment and willingness to lead by example left a positive impact on campus and reflected the values of the IYT Brotherhood. Huge shoutout to our Jr. Mentors for stepping up and making a difference through service and leadership!
