College

Serving young men of color at the
Los Rios Community College District.



In California, Community Colleges serve the largest amount of students in the state ( 2+ million), with the majority being students of color. IYT CC is designed to provide specialized support that helps young men of color get successfully navigate community college, enter the workforce, or transfer to a 4-year university. Students who transfer to a 4-year university will automatically be enrolled in the IYT U program. Students can enter IYT CC through a participating IYT College Academy site or at a participating community college.

College For All.
We’re abolishing college rejection letters.
The College for All Program is aimed at increasing access to post-secondary education for young men of color by provisionally admitting first-year freshman and first-time transfer applicants.
Primary Objectives






Improve accessibility of post-secondary pathways
Conditional admittance within one of the
Los Rios Community Colleges toward transfer to a partnering University
Responsively address systemic barriers to college resulting from the impacts of COVID-19
Increase connections to culturally responsive mentorship
Increase quality of targeted educational support services
Strengthen social-emotional preparedness of first-year students
Health Champions of Tomorrow.
The scholarship program will support African American students interested in careers in dental-related fields as well as provide financial support up to $10,000!
