Year-long paid fellowships for college students and early career professionals of all genders.
Become a fellow, change Lives.
The IYT Mentor Fellowship is a year-long fellowship for college students, young professionals, and emerging leaders to contribute to the formation of young scholars of color on their journey to and through college. Through their year of service, fellows develop highly desirable and transferable skills and experiences that make them strong, innovative, and empathetic leaders.
Fellows will be placed within one of IYT's signature programs: College Academy, IYT CC, or IYT U according to the candidate's interests and experience. Fellows will become part of the greater AmeriCorps Volunteer Network and will receive a biweekly living allowance and an education award up to $10,000 upon completion.
Benefits of Service
IYT Mentor Fellows also become part of the AmeriCorps Volunteer Network, meaning upon program completion, you gain access to the Employers of National Service. This is a network of over 600 diverse employers across every sector that highly value and recruit AmeriCorps service members after their year of service.
MENTOR FELLOWSHIP TIMELINE
The mission of IYT in itself made me want to become a mentor. It was a breath of fresh air to be surrounded by like minded people who are passionate about working to end systemic oppression on the basis of race and gender.”
