"I believe every child deserves access to a higher education. Growing up as first-gen, no one in my immediate family knew about college nor how to help me get there. Now, as a mother myself, I am determined to be that person for my daughter but I also want to pay it back to my community. I believe I can do that through IYT by educating and engaging families on the importance of college and giving them the tools/resources needed to get there."
