"The reason I aspired to become a college advisor is to provide the opportunity for students to thrive and achieve their academic goals. I am grateful to have had an academic advisor who informed me about opportunities I was not aware of. This person went on to become my mentor and encouraged me to challenge myself, pushing me to be confident in my abilities. I hope to have the same positive impact for our brothers. I want our brothers to feel genuinely supported and motivated, knowing that they can be successful in both their academic and personal journey. Through making connections with the brothers and providing resources such as college advising, we can work towards achieving our IYT mission of increasing the number of young men of color to attend and graduate from colleges and universities."
