"This work is important to me because, as an older sister to a young man of color, I have witnessed some of the additional barriers that our brothers can face in navigating not only the educational system but life itself. It is crucial for us to put in the work to make sure our brothers feel supported and confident in their journeys to positions they may not have thought possible for themselves. To change these institutional systems we must learn to work within them, so that our people can inspire and pave the way for those that come after. I am excited to be a part of Improve Your Tomorrow and its mission to create positive change, fostering a community where young men of color can learn not just to survive, but to thrive and fulfill their potential."
