"By 2031, my now 7 year old son and only child, will be graduating high school and heading off to college. If I can play just a small part in building a community of brothers and mentors that have his best interest at heart and will accept him with open arms and guide him throughout his academic journey, then I know I would have given him the best gift a mother could give her son. I want that for all of our families of color who have been historically underrepresented in higher education and in roles of leadership."
