June 2025

Month In Review
This past month at IYT at Freedom High School was a powerful time of celebration and reflection, culminating in a heartfelt ceremony honoring our college-bound Class of 2025. We celebrated their years of hard work, perseverance, and growth, which are built upon foundational activities like our “Gratitude Tree” workshop where brothers mapped out their unique personal journeys and support systems. A shining example of this graduating class’s dedication is our Brother of the Month, Maszi, an honor roll student whose commitment has paved his way to Sacramento State University, perfectly embodying the bright future we celebrated.
Honoring Our Graduates

This month, IYT at Freedom High School came together for a powerful and heartfelt celebration to honor our graduating seniors from the Class of 2025. This special occasion was a tribute to their incredible journey, recognizing the years of hard work, perseverance, and growth that have led them to this significant milestone.
The event was filled with pride and reflection as we celebrated each senior's unique contributions and leadership within our brotherhood. We are immensely proud to announce that these remarkable young men are all college-bound, ready to take the valuable lessons and skills learned in IYT into the next chapter of their academic careers. Congratulations to our graduates! Your dedication is inspiring, and we cannot wait to see the bright futures you will build.
The Gratitude Tree Workshop

Among our engaging workshops this past month, the “Gratitude Tree” session stood out as a particularly powerful and reflective experience. This activity invited our brothers to visually map their life's journey using the metaphor of a tree. The roots represented their family history; the trunk symbolized their core strengths; the branches reached for future goals; and the leaves honored the important people who support and nourish their growth. Through drawing and discussion, students shared their unique stories, fostering a profound sense of connection and a deeper appreciation for both their own journeys and those of their IYT brothers.
