Month In Review

This past month, IYT at Hopkins High School capped off its successful first year by balancing heartfelt reflection with joyful celebration. We brought our community together to share powerful stories at our “Field of Dreams” event and ended the year with a high-energy field trip to Urban Air. Our final day of programming mirrored this spirit, as we concluded a year of college-readiness workshops with a family breakfast and a competitive college trivia game. This growth was perfectly personified by our Brothers of the Month, Landen and Elijah, who were honored for their incredible dedication, leadership, and personal improvement.

As our first successful year in Minnesota drew to a close, IYT at Hopkins High School marked the occasion with two incredible special events that perfectly balanced heartfelt reflection with joyful celebration.

First, our “Field of Dreams” event brought our entire community together. It was an amazing opportunity for our brothers to share powerful stories of how IYT has impacted them, and for families and partners to collaborate and reflect on the successes of our inaugural year. Then, to cap everything off with pure fun, we took our brothers on an end-of-year field trip to Urban Air for a day of high-flying adventure and excitement. Together, these events made for an unforgettable end to the school year!

Our first year serving HHS, we had a wonderful group of 9th and 10th grade students. During our last day of programming, we enjoyed doing the Creed for the final time this year, we ate breakfast as a family, and we did brotherhood shout-outs.

This year we have spent a lot of time learning about college. We have talked about college admission requirements, goal setting to ensure college acceptance, and how to adjust to college when the time comes. We ended the year with a college trivia game. Our winning team included Maurice, Landen, and Tristan.
