Month In Review

This past month, IYT at Jesse Bethel High hosted a powerful graduation ceremony, honoring our seniors for their resilience and celebrating their transition to new educational and career paths. A shining example of this graduating class's dedication is our Brother of the Month, Kumar Polk. Kumar has been an incredible role model by diligently managing his classes and college applications, and his hard work has paid off as he prepares to attend DVC to study computer science. His focus and clear vision for the future perfectly embody the promise we celebrated in all our graduates.

Honoring Our IYT High School Graduates!

IYT graduation celebration.
IYT graduation celebration.

We are proud to have celebrated the accomplishments of our graduating IYT (Improve Your Tomorrow) high school seniors in a powerful and uplifting ceremony. This event recognized their resilience, academic success, and personal growth throughout their high school journey. With support from IYT programming—including tutoring, college application guidance, mentorship, and wellness check-ins—these young men have overcome challenges and are now preparing for the next steps in their educational and career paths. Families, staff, and community partners joined us in celebrating not just a milestone, but the beginning of a new chapter full of promise and purpose. We couldn’t be more proud of their achievements and the futures they are building.

ng that taking care of yourself is not a luxury; it’s a necessity.
