Month In Review

This past month, IYT at Pittsburg High has been a profound tribute to resilience, growth, and the unique journey of every brother. We proudly celebrated our graduating Class of 2025, honoring their hard work as they embark on diverse future paths. This spirit of perseverance was perfectly embodied by senior Rontae Robinson, whose incredible story of overcoming obstacles to graduate with his class is an inspiration to us all. These achievements are built upon a foundation of self-reflection and community, which we continued to nurture in workshops like our “Gratitude Tree,” where brothers explored their personal roots, strengths, and future aspirations.

Celebrating Our Graduates

We came together to honor and celebrate the graduating IYT brothers of the Class of 2025. This special event recognized not only a major academic milestone, high school graduation, but also the beginning of a new chapter in each of their lives. Whether they are heading to college, trade school, the military, or entering the workforce, we are proud of the hard work, resilience, and growth they’ve shown throughout their journey.

We’re proud to celebrate brother, Rontae Robinson, who overcame incredible obstacles to reach this moment. After attending continuation school to recover credits, he returned to Pittsburg High still facing challenges and, at times, doubting if he’d graduate at all. But he kept going. Today, he walks the stage with his class, a true testament to resilience, growth, and never giving up.

Workshop Spotlight

In this reflective workshop, IYT brothers created their own “Gratitude Trees” to explore their roots, strengths, current lives, and future goals. Through drawing and writing, they mapped out who they are and what keeps them grounded, from family traditions to dreams of becoming authors, coaches, or CEOs. The activity encouraged mindfulness, emotional growth, and brotherhood as students shared their trees and learned more about each other’s journeys. It was a powerful reminder of how far they’ve come—and how much potential lies ahead.
