December in Review: Milestones & Community
December at Foothill High School was a month of connection and extraordinary achievement. As we closed the semester, we balanced the joy of community celebration with the serious work of building resilience. But the true highlight of the month is the standard of excellence being set by our seniors. From exploring the concept of "failing forward" to celebrating a Brother with over 60 college acceptances, Foothill High School ended the year proving that high standards and strong support go hand in hand.
End of Semester: Gathering The Santa Clause & Community

The new year kicked off with a powerful sense of togetherness as our community came together to celebrate the close of the semester. Just before winter break, we enjoyed a special gathering filled with good food, laughter, and a screening of The Santa Clause. The celebration created space to relax, connect, and be fully present with one another while reflecting on the semester’s journey. We entered the break feeling refreshed, grateful, and ready for what’s ahead.
Growth Mindset: Failing Forward

In December, failure took on a whole new meaning during our Fail Forward workshop, where Brothers explored how setbacks can become powerful stepping stones toward growth. Through a hands-on paper airplane challenge, Brothers experimented with their designs, learned from what didn’t work, and applied those lessons in real-time. The activity encouraged teamwork and problem-solving while reinforcing the value of persistence. Most importantly, the workshop normalized mistakes, reminding Brothers that real growth happens when you keep showing up and trying again.
Brother of the Month

Brother Tomari
12th Grade
Excellence meets determination in our graduating senior, Tomari. A true leader on and off the court, Tomari currently holds a 4.0 GPA and has made his mark as a star athlete, reaching the incredible milestone of scoring over 1,000 points in his athletic career.
His dedication extends far beyond athletics—Tomari has earned approximately 65 college acceptance letters, a powerful testament to his commitment and future vision. We are incredibly proud of all he has accomplished and can’t wait to see the impact he will continue to make.
