IYT Mitchel Middle School Impact Update: December 2025

December in Review: Leadership & Celebration

December at Mitchell Middle School was a powerful blend of high-energy celebration and deep character development. As we closed out the year, we focused on rewarding our Brothers for their hard work while challenging them to discover their inner authority. From the excitement of the Fun Zone to hands-on workshops that put students in charge, our Brothers ended 2025 with full bellies, big smiles, and a renewed sense of purpose.

End of Year Celebration: Jump, Run, Have Some Fun

Before the year ended, IYT hosted an all-day Fun Zone for all Brothers from 6th through 12th grade to celebrate an amazing year. The event created a safe, high-energy space for Brothers to network and burn some calories! Students all had a blast and ended the year with full bellies, big smiles, and sweat to show they gave it their all.

Leadership Development: Leadership Is Within Us

Leadership came to life as Brothers jumped into hands-on activities, discovering what it truly means to guide and inspire others with confidence and purpose. Since leadership is a core focus at IYT, we want our Brothers to walk with a sense of purpose. One standout moment featured Brother Tyrell, who was hand-selected to lead a game of Simon Says—whatever he did, the class followed. It mirrored real-world dynamics: you either lead or follow, and IYT encourages all Brothers to step up and lead with confidence!

6th Grade

Brother Luis has been unstoppable ever since joining IYT this past year. A 6th grader with a 4.0 GPA, Luis shows up every day ready to participate, raising his hand and giving his best in every activity. His dedication and enthusiasm earned him Brother of the Month just before winter break, and he was celebrated with a hot meal and a college t-shirt to inspire a college-going mindset.
