IYT Modesto High School Update: December 2025

December in Review: Puzzles & Perseverance

December at Modesto High School was a dynamic mix of introspection and high-energy problem solving. Under the theme "Growth in Action," our Brothers didn't just learn about resilience—they practiced it. From student-led workshops in IB classes to a competitive Escape Room challenge, the month proved that learning happens best when you combine critical thinking with collaboration.

December was all about adaptation. Brothers participated in workshops like "Fail Forward," the "Mid-Year Reflection Mural," and the "Mindset Card Deck" to challenge their ability to learn from mistakes. A standout moment was when three upperclassmen took the lead to curate a Growth in Action workshop for one of their IB classes—a huge step in leadership!

The month wrapped up with the IYT Escape Room, where Brothers worked in teams to solve math problems, answer riddles, and uncover clues across six stations. The friendly competition pushed students to collaborate and think quickly, reinforcing the importance of teamwork and persistence in a fun way.
