Suits & Setbacks: Winter Formal & The "Fail Forward" Mindset

December in Review: Confidence & Resilience

December at Roosevelt Jr. High was defined by two very different types of confidence. First, the social confidence to step out at the Winter Formal. Second, the internal confidence to handle mistakes and keep going. From the dance floor to the classroom, our Brothers ended the year ready for whatever comes next.

Celebration: Winter Formal & Semester Party

It was a month of firsts! Our IYT Brothers attended their very first Winter Formal dance, stepping out in style to celebrate the end of the semester. The celebration continued in the classroom with a food party, board games, and team-building activities. It was a memorable day that strengthened the bonds of our Brotherhood.

Resilience "Fail Forward"

Success isn't about being perfect; it's about being persistent. This month, Brothers tackled "Fail Forward," a workshop focused on turning mistakes into learning opportunities. We discussed how setbacks are normal—whether in sports or school—and practiced reframing negative moments into the question: "What can I learn from this?" The goal was to build the grit and growth mindset needed to handle future challenges.
