The Classroom Closet & The 2026 Vision: Building Support at Golden Valley

December in Review: The Classroom Closet & The 2026 Vision

December at Golden Valley High School was defined by a balance of practical support and ambitious dreaming. We believe that to build a great future, you need a stable foundation today. That’s why we launched new physical resources in the classroom while challenging our Brothers to visualize exactly where they want to go in 2026.

The Resource Hub: The New "Classroom Closet"

The classroom closet provided clothing and shoes for IYT brothers in need of essential items.

IYT Brothers had a reason to celebrate thanks to a thoughtful new addition to their space! Program Manager Melanie Friz created a "Classroom Closet," giving Brothers access to essential items and resources whenever they need them. This initiative is about more than just convenience; it’s a tangible signal to every student that their well-being is valued, and that we are here to remove barriers to their success.

Future Planning: 2026 Vision Boards

IYT Brothers jump-started the holiday season by unleashing their creativity! In our 2026 Vision Board workshop, students set intentions for the year ahead, collaborating to design boards that reflected their dreams and plans for success. It was a fun chance to socialize, but also a critical exercise in visualizing their full potential.
