We're thrilled to announce our new Board of Advisors for IYT Minnesota! These dedicated individuals are deeply committed to moving the needle forward for young men of color, and we're honored to have their support.

Alexander Hines
Director of Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging and the Rev. Dr. MLK Jr.
"Undeniably, access to American higher education has expanded greatly over the past few decades. Yet, while a college degree has become an achievable goal for students from all backgrounds and walks of life, there still remain substantial disparities in the educational attainment of students from certain racial and ethnic, socioeconomic, and family educational backgrounds. More students of color are now enrolled in higher education than ever before, with nearly one in three college students being a person of color."

David Hood
Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, MSU Mankato
"I support IYT Minnesota because it allows me to draw on nearly two decades of work expanding college access—and my own lived experiences—to help the next generation of scholars see college as a real and attainable opportunity."

Geoff Wilson
Junior Achievement North
"I believe in the mission. With a background in college access and success I am aware of the barriers and want to do everything I can to break them down."

Markus Flynn
Executive Director of Black Men Teach
"I am a big supporter of Arthur and Michael Lynch. I think this work is necessary in our community."

Mino Leon
Real Estate Professional
"My son is a young man of color that is blessed to have his parents and village to support, listen, provide resources to, love and so much more in an effort to prepare to navigate through life. Being his mother has driven me further into a passion to see YMOC being supported and heard. I believe in IYT's mission and the dedication demonstrated by how they have poured into my son."

Ryan Hamilton
Attorney and Lobbyist
"I attribute my current success to programs that gave me exposure to college and professional careers during my middle and high school years. I would like to pay that forward to future generations of men of color. I was also an athlete in high school. That gave me a sense of belonging, a positive identity, and a circle of success-driven peers that brought out the best in me. I believe IYT does the same for brothers who may not be into sports, yet they have other wonderful God-given talents to develop and share with the world."
