At IYT, our mission has always been clear: to empower young people with the support and resources needed to build a brighter future. A critical hurdle in our journey is navigating the complex world of higher education, which includes financial aid. That's why we are thrilled to announce a blossoming partnership with the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC)!

This collaboration feels like a natural extension of our efforts. CSAC is the powerhouse behind dozens of grant, loan, and scholarship programs that make higher education accessible to millions of California students. By joining forces we can leverage our respective strengths to bridge the information gap and empower even more IYT Brothers to unlock their academic and professional futures.

Our partnership has already yielded impactful initiatives, starting with a spotlight on the wealth of knowledge and lived experience within the IYT community. We were incredibly proud to have our own Director of College Access, Dr. Michaela Edwards, participate as a featured panelist in Sacramento State's Torchbearer Series. This ongoing speaking series highlights the remarkable achievements of Sacramento State doctoral alumni, and Dr. Edwards brought her expertise and passion for educational equity to this critical discussion.

We didn't stop there though! We know the most powerful testimonials come directly from the students we serve. We were fortunate to have Lucas Daniel, one of our former IYT Mentors, participate in a live interview hosted by CSAC. Hearing directly from a student who has successful walked this path was not only inspiring but also provided invaluable real-world insights for others in his shoes.

This is just the beginning. We are profoundly grateful to the CSAC for their vision, collaboration, and unwavering commitment to making a quality education accessible for all. Their partnership validates our work and amplifies our collective impact, paving the way for a brighter future for countless young men of color.

We look forward to future projects, knowing that together we can empower the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers. Stay tuned for more updates on this transformative partnership!
